Taïga EXP 2
Selected as one of the best off-road touring bikes by the renowned blog Cyling About, the Taïga EXP 2 is the dropbar version of the Taïga mountain bike. This makes it ideal for long-distance off-road tours and mixed terrain bikepacking expeditions. It was also the bike that led Cory Ostertag to first place at the 2022 BC Epic, and the same bike that helped Marie-Pierre Savard and Cory Ostertag set new record times (FKT) at the 2022 Log Driver’s Waltz for women and men respectively.
The Reynolds 725 frame is packed with useful features: adjustable rear sliding dropouts, seat stay opening for use with belt, compatible with 100mm suspension fork, compatible with dropper seat post. The carbon fork has internal cable routing for dynamo hub usage, and all the necessary mounts for your equipment. In addition to slight geometric refinements, tire clearance has been increased to easily accommodate 29×2.6” on this second-generation EXP.
The Taïga EXP 2 is equipped with the excellent GRX 12-speed groupset, and the frame now features flat-mount brake mounts. We offer 2 wheel options as well as an adjustable seatpost option. The Ritchey Beacon 52cm wide handlebar gives enough space for a bulky handlebar bag, while providing excellent stability when the terrain is more demanding.

Panorama Taïga EXP
LONG DISTANCE OFF ROAD GEOMETRY
Based on our Taïga mountain bike, the geometry is adapted to be specific to a dropbar usage and is developed for stability and comfort. The front triangle also offers a larger opening for a bigger frame bag.
Main Features
REYNOLDS 725 TUBESET
Frame made with a bespoke selection of Reynolds 725 tubes. Tubes are thinned in the right places to provide the comfort and enjoyment of riding a steel frame without the extra weight.
SLIDING REAR DROPOUTS
Adjustable sliding dropouts which are ideal for adapting the ride feel of the bike, or for use in single speed configuration or with a Rohloff hub.
MULTIPLE MOUNTS
Ready to be equipped for a short or long bikepacking outing with its many mounts: triple mounts on downtube, double mounts on seat tube, cargo cages on the carbon fork, top tube bag and rear rack mounts.
TAPERED HEADTUBE AND CARBON FIBER FORK
Tapered head tube and carbon fork of an equivalent length to a 100mm suspension fork.
INTERNAL SURFACE TREATMENT
The internal surface of the frame is treated by electrodeposition. This additional step in the finishing of the frame helps to ensure better protection against corrosion.
TIRE CLEARANCE
The frame has generous clearance to accommodate 29¨x 2.6¨ tires.
FLAT MOUNT BRAKES
Version 2 of the Taïga EXP has been redesigned to use flat-mount brakes standard.
INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING FOR DROPPER POST
Seat tube opening in order to accommodate internal cable routing for an adjustable seat post.
INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING FOR DYNAMO HUB
The fork is designed for use with a dynamo hub. A mounting point on the front of the fork is also present to secure a light.
BELT DRIVE COMPATIBLE
The opening in the rear triangle allows the installation of a belt to adapt the bike to this type of silent and maintenance-free transmission.
